Porcelain Veneers & Crowns

Porcelain veneers are a ceramic material that is bonded to the front of teeth to change the tooth's color, size and/or shape. They are also known as dental veneers and tooth veneers and are used in order to create a more aesthetically pleasing smile. Dr. Mitsch and Dr. Colt can change the shape, color and length of your teeth in only two visits. The results are astounding!
A porcelain crown is a a porcelain cap which covers the crown (that portion above the gumline) of the tooth to repair it or change the shape and/or color. When a filling exceeds a certain proportion of the tooth, it must be placed with a "cap" that is also known as a crown. Dr. Mitsch and Dr. Colt use porcelain crowns that look more natural than a metal crown and do not have a dark metal line that may be visible when smiling or opening the mouth. Porcelain crowns reflect light with a natural healthy glow.

Dental Implants & Dental Bonding

Dental implants are small dental appliances that are inserted into the upper and lower jaws to help restore a mouth that has little or no non-restorable teeth. A dental implant is used in restorative dentistry. There are several types. The most widely accepted and successful is the osseointegrated implant, based on the discovery by Professor Branemarke that titanium could be successfully incorporated into bone when osteocytes grow on and into the rough surface of the implanted titanium. This forms a structural and functional connection between the living bone and the implant.
Dental bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-colored resin material is applied and hardened with a special light, which ultimately "bonds" the material to the tooth to restore or improve person's smile. Dental bonding is an option to be considered in order to:
-
repair decayed teeth
-
improve the appearance of discolored teeth
-
repair chipped or cracked teeth
-
close spaces between teeth
-
make teeth look longer
-
change the shape of the teeth
